What Australian Sports Nutrition collects, why we collect it and what we do with it.
Who this covers
- This policy covers personal information Australian Sports Nutrition collects through this website.
- We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
- By using the site or placing an order you accept the practices described here.
What we collect
- Details you give us: name, email address, phone number, delivery and billing address, and anything you write in a message to us.
- Order information: what you bought, when, and the status of your delivery.
- Account information, if you create one: your email address and a password we only ever store hashed.
- Technical information: IP address, browser and device type, and how you move through the site.
Payment details
- We do not see or store your full card number. Card payments are handled by our payment provider on their own secure systems.
- We receive only a confirmation that payment succeeded, plus the last four digits and card type for matching a refund to an order.
How we use it
- To take payment, pack your order and get it delivered.
- To email you order confirmations, tracking and anything we need to ask about your order.
- To answer questions you send us and to handle returns and warranty claims.
- To keep the site working, spot fraud, and understand which pages and products people actually use.
- To send marketing email only if you asked for it. Every one has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing never affects your orders.
Who we share it with
- Australia Post, so your parcel can be addressed and tracked.
- Our payment provider, to process the transaction.
- The services that run this site and our email — hosting, analytics and our mailing platform.
- Law enforcement or regulators where we are legally required to.
- We do not sell your personal information, and we never rent or trade mailing lists.
Cookies
- Essential cookies keep your cart and your login working. The site cannot function without them.
- Analytics cookies tell us which pages are used and where people get stuck, in aggregate.
- You can block cookies in your browser, but the cart and checkout will stop working properly if you block the essential ones.
How long we keep it
- Order and tax records are kept for seven years, as Australian tax law requires.
- Account details are kept until you ask us to close the account.
- Marketing contacts are removed as soon as you unsubscribe.
Your rights
- You can ask what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct anything wrong.
- You can ask us to delete your account and personal details, except records we must keep by law.
- Email hello@australiansportsnutrition.shop and we will respond within 30 days.
- If you are unhappy with how we handled a privacy matter, contact us first. You can then complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
